Scent of a Dream

My much needed break is at an end and I return to boring Bombay tonight. I spent my last afternoon in Goa getting a few quick photos clicked before heading out to lunch with the family. For this look, I paired a pretty lace insert shirt with a zippered A-line skirt. The skirt can be worn with the zippered portion in the front, but I prefer it at the back. I finished the look with some jewelry and brown suede Tory Burch flats that go with just about everything. I'm not one to follow trends and all the looks I've posted so far are of pieces I've had in my closet for years. I don't think one needs to constantly follow trends to look chic. The key is to always pick pieces that you're comfortable in, that suit your body type and that can mixed and matched to create different looks that transition from day to night to week to month. I write this because I see so many girls pressured to buy this and that just because a magazine says so or because everyone else is doing it. It does more harm to one's confidence levels than anything else. Never follow the trend, be the trend.
