Wildflower Hall

I’ve been lolling around at home reminiscing my birthday trip to the ridiculously stunning Wildflower Hall in Shimla last year. Surrounded by 22 acres of panaromic pine and cedar forests and situated 8000 feet above sea level, Wildflower Hall is easily one of the most beautiful luxury properties in India. The property has a very distinct Colonial British Raj feel complete with Burmese teak paneling on the walls and ceilings, crystal chandeliers, antique hand-knotted rugs and opulent fireplaces surrounded by decadent armchairs. The rooms are equally luxurious offering sweeping views of the Himalayas, teak wood flooring and marble bathrooms.

Getting there - We hopped on to a flight from Mumbai to Chandigarh and then took a scenic 20 minute helicopter ride (my first ever) to Shimla airport, followed by a short half hour drive to the property.
