Garnier

The people over at Garnier were kind enough to send 2 products from the white complete range for me to review. After using both products for about a month, here are my thoughts-

Garnier White Complete Fairness Face Wash claims to help recover a clear, radiant and even complexion with exfoliating pure lemon essence and cleanses and clarifies the skin by removing impurities that make skin dull.

It comes in a white tube with a flip open cap and has a light, creamy texture that lathers up really well. It left my skin squeaky clean without over drying. It pretty much does what you'd expect from any face wash. Nothing more, nothing less.

The good:

  • Affordable and easily available
  • Brightens and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean
  • Travel friendly

The bad:

  • Might not be suitable for people with very dry skin

Overall rating:

       3/5

Garnier White Complete Multi Action Fairness Cream claims to clarify and smoothen skin with pure lemon essence and provide protection from UVA/UVB damage with SPF 17 while leaving the skin fresh and moisturised with a healthy glow.

It comes in a little plastic pot which makes it easy to pop in your bag while traveling. Although, I personally prefer creams that come in tubes since they're more hygienic. The cream has a pleasant fragrance and just a pea sized amount is enough for application on face and neck. On applying after using the face wash, it takes a few seconds to completely absorb into the skin leaving a nice dewy finish. My skin felt soft and moisturised all day. It also forms a great base for make-up. After a few weeks of use, it did seem to lighten a few spots I had on my face,  so plus points for that!

The good:

  • Affordable and easily available
  • Provides sun protection
  • Moisturises and brightens
  • Doesn't cause break outs
  • Reduces dark spots over time
  • Good make-up base
  • Travel friendly

The bad:

  • Texture is a bit thick and greasy
  • Doesn't come in tube form

Overall rating:

       4/5
